Cryptocurrency punters see little chance of President Donald Trump invoking war powers to confront the Houthis in Yemen, despite his recent threat directed at the Iran-backed group.

Traders See Low Odds Of War Powers Report

Polygon (CRYPTO: POL)-based Polymarket currently prices in only a 7% chance that Trump submits a 48-hour report to Congress about deploying U.S. forces against the Houthis, consistent with the War Powers Resolution.

The odds on the prediction market have collapsed since hitting 38% earlier this month.

Meanwhile, odds that the U.S. will not take military action in Yemeni territory, including airstrikes, stood at 88% for the end of October but had fallen to 68% for the end of November.

Trump’s Veiled Threat

The bets follow Trump’s pointed warning on Truth Social, where he accused the Houthis of “behaving very badly” and acting “at the behest of Iran.”

“Somebody should explain to them that I’m not running in the Elections, I’ve already won, IN A MASSIVE LANDSLIDE, but I’ll be there after the Elections, and I will never forget,” he added.

Notably, Trump said last week he was considering U.S. involvement in Saudi military operations against the Houthis.

The warning followed a deadly missile strike on Saudi Arabia’s King Khalid International Airport that killed 12 people,  including a U.S. citizen, and injured more than 300.

Saudi authorities blamed the Houthis for the attack, calling the strike a “fully-fledged war crime” and vowing a “serious” response. The Houthi movement said its attacks were retaliation for “brutal Saudi aggression” in western Yemen.
