Cryptocurrency bettors see raised chances of Anthropic going public in 2026 amid buzz over the AI company’s latest IPO prospectus.
IPO Before Year-End?
Polygon (CRYPTO: POL)-based Polymarket currently prices in a 69% chance that the Dario Amodei-founded company will list its shares by Nov. 30, up from 59% the day before and 50% from a month earlier.
Similarly, the odds that Anthropic debuts on public markets by Dec. 31 spiked from 76% to 84% over the last 24 hours.
Nearly $4 billion has been wagered on the outcome, making it one of Polymarket’s most keenly watched bets.

Anthropic Flags Safety Risks
Odds spiked after Anthropic’s new IPO prospectus reportedly stressed AI’s transformative potential and the company’s plans to spend billions on computing and infrastructure in the coming years.
The Claude parent, however, warned that advanced AI could create risks ranging from unexpected model behavior to potentially “catastrophic or existential” consequences for humanity.
Anthropic added about 6% of the computing power used for AI research went toward safety work during a sample week in July.
Earlier this month, Amodei called on AI companies to “pace the frontier” and slow advancements, following warnings from researchers about potential catastrophic risks. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman endorsed this call.
