Legacy Education Inc. (AMEX:LGCY) shares fell 9.77% to $9.60 in after-hours trading Thursday after the company reported fourth-quarter and full fiscal 2026 financial results.
Legacy Education is a nationally accredited, for-profit post-secondary education company that provides career-focused programs primarily in healthcare.
Fiscal 2026 Results
Legacy Education reported fiscal 2026 revenue of $80.1 million, up 24.8% from $64.2 million in fiscal 2025. Net income increased 21.3% to $9.1 million, while diluted earnings per share rose 11.9% to 66 cents.
For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, revenue increased 12% to $20.1 million. Net income rose 53.3% to $1.9 million, while diluted EPS increased 44.4% to 13 cents.
Adjusted EBITDA was $13.6 million for fiscal 2026, compared with $11 million in fiscal 2025.
Enrollment Growth
New student starts increased 9% during fiscal 2026, while the year-end student population reached 3,377, up 8.9% from 2025.
Legacy Education also expanded capacity at its High Desert Medical College campuses in Lancaster and Temecula. The company signed a lease for its first planned campus in Houston, Texas, expanding its geographic footprint beyond California.
Contra Costa Medical Career College received approval for two new degree programs and one certificate program, with launches planned for the second quarter of fiscal 2027.
