Uber Expands Costco Delivery Partnership to 47 States
On September 16, Uber and Costco expanded their delivery partnership on Uber Eats to 47 states, up from 17, extending Costco delivery access to nearly 600 locations nationwide. The expansion builds on a partnership that first launched in 2024, adding to Uber Eats’ growing grocery footprint, which has also added Wegmans and nearly 2,000 Ahold Delhaize USA stores.
“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Costco nationwide, giving Costco members more ways to shop and bringing the brand’s storied selection and value to more consumers,” said Andrew Macdonald, President and COO of Uber.
WeRide, Uber Secure Spain’s First Autonomous Vehicle Permit
On September 10, WeRide, Uber and AVOMO, the autonomous vehicle division of Moove Cars Group, announced they received Spain’s first national permit for Level 4 autonomous passenger vehicles to operate on public roads, granted by Spain’s Directorate General of Traffic in collaboration with the Regional Government of Madrid. The authorization marks a regulatory milestone toward deploying autonomous rides in the country.
Uber Eats Adds 375 Wakefern Stores
On September 9, Uber Eats and Wakefern Food Corp. announced that customers can now shop more than 375 Wakefern supermarket locations across the Northeast through Uber Eats, spanning banners including ShopRite, Price Rite Marketplace, The Fresh Grocer, and Fairway Market, among others.
Uber Shares Trade Flat
