Greenland Mines Ltd. (NASDAQ:GRML) shares are surging on Monday. The company more than doubled its control of its Sarfartoq rare earth magnet district land position in West Greenland.

• Greenland Mines shares are powering higher. What’s fueling GRML momentum?

The additional 262-square-kilometer area expands the project’s contiguous footprint to approximately 454 square kilometers after previous geological work indicated potential for additional rare earth resources east of the Sarfartoq deposit.

The district-scale strategy is designed to accelerate development of ST1’s $2.05 billion high-case NPV deposit while advancing exploration across the broader rare earths region.

The expansion follows President Donald Trump’s announcement of a landmark U.S.-Denmark-Greenland Security Agreement highlighting Greenland’s increasing strategic importance.

Greenland Mines (GRML) Business Overview and Key Assets

Greenland Mines is an exploration and development company focused on mineral resources in Southeast Greenland, with its main asset being the Skaergaard Project. That project has gold, palladium, and platinum mineralization, and the company is working through drilling and development to evaluate and expand its resource base.

It’s also evaluating vanadium and gallium as potential additional mineral resources, which matters because early-stage miners often trade on “option value” tied to new targets and district-scale control.

Today’s Sarfartoq update fits that pattern: expanding a contiguous footprint (to roughly 454 km²) can strengthen the long-term exploration story even before any new drilling results are published.
