Redwire Corp. (NYSE:RDW) stock jumped about 8% on Monday as investors moved into smaller-cap and higher-beta stocks.
The broader market also traded higher. The Nasdaq gained 2.54%, while the S&P 500 rose 1.50%. The Industrials sector added 0.19%.
Redwire’s rally comes amid broad strength across growth stocks rather than a clear company-specific catalyst.
Communication Services climbed 3.86%, while Technology gained 2.34%. Market breadth was also positive, with an advance-decline ratio of 1.2.
That risk-on backdrop can benefit volatile space and defense stocks such as Redwire.
Technical Analysis
Redwire is trading above several key moving averages. The stock is above its 20-day SMA of $10.89, 50-day SMA of $10.73 and 200-day SMA of $10.86.
However, shares remain below the 100-day SMA of $12.43. That level could create resistance if the rally continues.
Momentum has improved. The MACD is above its signal line, while the histogram is positive. Both indicators suggest buying momentum is strengthening.
Still, the longer-term setup remains mixed. The 20-day SMA is above the 50-day SMA, which is a bullish signal. However, the 50-day SMA remains below the 200-day SMA following a September death cross.
Resistance sits near $12.50. Support is around $10.
