Novo Nordisk A/S (NYSE:NVO) announced a collaboration with Anthropic that it says will help accelerate the development of new medicines.

The companies will jointly address key drug discovery challenges identified by scientists at Novo, develop targeted solutions for specific scientific challenges and workflows to support biological reasoning.

Scaling Enterprise Software With Frontier Models

Novo will also use Anthropic’s frontier models to strengthen AI-driven software development, which is a key enabler for scaling AI across the company.

The collaboration includes robust data governance and human oversight, helping ensure AI is applied responsibly and in line with Novo’s ethical and compliance standards.

In June, Owkin and Sanofi SA (NASDAQ:SNY) expanded their partnership through a new multi-year collaboration focused on developing next-generation AI-powered biopharma agents to support drug discovery and development.

The agreement also includes a five-year license for Owkin’s AI Scientist platform, K Pro, marking the latest phase in a relationship that began in 2021.

In March, Tempus AI Inc. (NASDAQ:TEM) inked a strategic collaboration agreement with Merck & Co. Inc. (NYSE:MRK) to accelerate AI-driven precision medicine.

Tempus announced an expanded, multi-year collaboration with Merck to enhance the discovery and development of precision medicine biomarkers.

The partnership will leverage Tempus’ extensive library of de-identified multimodal data and its advanced Lens Platform, which utilizes one of the industry’s largest GPU infrastructures for complex analyses.

NVO Price Action: Novo Nordisk shares were up 0.25% to $42.63 at the time of publication on Wednesday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
