Dutch Bros Inc. (NYSE:BROS) stock traded lower on Tuesday as part of a broad, sector-wide selloff dragging down the entire restaurant and beverage industry. The Nasdaq is down 0.52% while the S&P 500 has shed 0.42%.

The downward movement follows action on Friday, when TD Cowen maintained its Buy rating on Dutch Bros but lowered its price target to $59.

Technical Analysis

The bigger technical issue is trend: Dutch Bros is trading below every major moving average, sitting 11.3% under its 20-day SMA ($47.67) and 25.7% under its 200-day SMA ($56.93). The 20-day SMA is below the 50-day SMA, and the Death Cross that formed in September (50-day falling under the 200-day) keeps the intermediate trend biased lower until price can reclaim key averages.

Momentum is stretched: RSI is 26.75, which signals the selling has become oversold and increases the odds of sharp bounces — but it does not, by itself, confirm a durable bottom. RSI is essentially a “how stretched is the move” gauge, and readings this low often show sellers are crowded even as the broader trend remains bearish.

  • Key Resistance: $43.15 — Near the prior 52-week low zone (September), now a likely overhead supply area after the breakdown.
  • Key Support: $42.31 — Current price area after pushing below the prior 52-week low, making this an immediate “hold or slide” level for traders.

Zooming out, the sector has been trending lower recently, down 4.62% over the past 30 days and down 3.58% over the past 90 days. In that context, Dutch Bros’ inability to stabilize above key moving averages suggests traders are still treating rallies as sellable until the sector tone improves.

BROS Stock Price Activity: Dutch Bros shares were down 4.29% at $42.17 at the time of publication on Tuesday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
