S&P Global Market Intelligence launched the ETF Intelligence, a new analytics platform designed to help investors, issuers and institutional market participants better analyze the rapidly expanding global ETF market. The service combines proprietary datasets with ETF-specific analytics to provide deeper insights into portfolio exposures, fund flows, liquidity, valuation, volatility and broader market trends, reflecting growing demand for more sophisticated ETF research tools as the industry continues to evolve.

The launch comes as innovation accelerates across the ETF market. According to analysis from S&P Global Market Intelligence, U.S. options-based ETF assets climbed from less than $5 billion in 2019 to $245 billion in 2025, highlighting the rapid growth of increasingly complex ETF strategies. The company said ETF Intelligence is designed to provide greater transparency into underlying exposures and risk while supporting research, portfolio construction and product development.

“As the ecosystem scales in both size and complexity, the ability to understand underlying exposures, liquidity and risk with greater precision is paramount,” said Paul Wilson, head of Data, Pricing, Valuations & Analytics at S&P Global Market Intelligence. He added that the platform aims to help clients better understand the forces shaping ETFs and support more informed investment decisions.

Key features of ETF Intelligence include:
