Webull Corp. (NASDAQ:BULL) shares are climbing Wednesday, moving alongside a broader crypto rally that tends to boost trading activity on its platform, with the company also set to report second-quarter results after today’s close. Here’s what you should to know.
- Webull shares are climbing with conviction. Why are BULL shares rallying?
Crypto Strength Tends to Lift Webull’s Trading Volume
Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and other cryptocurrencies are rallying Wednesday as falling Treasury yields improve investor appetite for riskier assets, with sentiment getting an added boost from President Donald Trump’s planned meeting with cryptocurrency executives at the White House and expectations that U.S. regulators are moving toward a clearer framework for digital assets.
That rally matters directly for Webull because the company offers crypto trading alongside its other brokerage services. When crypto prices move sharply higher, it tends to pull more retail traders back onto platforms like Webull’s, driving higher trading volumes and renewing the kind of investor enthusiasm that had cooled during quieter stretches for digital assets. That dynamic appears to be lifting Webull’s stock alongside the broader crypto move today.
Webull Set to Report Second-Quarter Results After the Close
Beyond today’s crypto-driven move, investors are also looking ahead to Webull’s second-quarter report, due after today’s market close. Analysts are looking for adjusted earnings of 3 cents per share on revenue of $181.26 million.
Those estimates follow a first quarter in which Webull’s top line climbed 36% year-over-year to $159.9 million, with trading-related revenue growing at that same pace. Costs grew even faster than sales, though.
Total operating expenses jumped 68% from a year earlier, a jump the company tied to stepped-up marketing and branding efforts, higher brokerage and transaction costs that came with surging trading volumes, and a bigger stock-based compensation bill. Stripping out one-time items, adjusted operating expenses still climbed 64% to $145.1 million.
