CleanSpark Inc. (NASDAQ:CLSK) stock fell nearly 7% on Wednesday as investors pulled back from higher-risk technology and cryptocurrency-linked stocks amid a broader market sell-off.
The decline also came as AI cloud infrastructure stocks remained under pressure. According to Benzinga Pro, investors remain concerned about elevated interest rates, stretched valuations, and the risk that hyperscale AI infrastructure spending has outpaced sustainable demand.
The Nasdaq was down 0.65%, while the S&P 500 slipped 0.66%. The Technology sector lost 0.8%, creating a weaker backdrop for high-beta stocks.
Market Sentiment Weighs On CleanSpark Stock
Wednesday’s decline appeared driven by broader market sentiment rather than company-specific news. More sectors were declining than advancing, with the market’s advance-decline ratio at 0.8. Energy stocks gained 1.88%, reflecting a shift toward more defensive sectors.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.58%, while the Russell 2000 declined 0.88%, indicating widespread selling across equities.
CleanSpark has increasingly traded alongside both cryptocurrency miners and digital infrastructure companies, making it more sensitive to changes in investor risk appetite.
Technical Picture Remains Weak
The stock continues to trade below all major moving averages, signaling a bearish technical trend.
Shares are about 10% below the 20-day simple moving average, nearly 20% below the 50-day average and roughly 7% below both the 100-day and 200-day moving averages.
Momentum indicators also remain weak. The MACD sits below its signal line, suggesting buying momentum has faded.
Traders are watching resistance near $14, while $12 remains an important support level if selling pressure continues.
