Ashland Inc (NYSE:ASH) on Tuesday posted better-than-expected earnings for the second quarter.

The company reported quarterly earnings of $1.02 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of 98 cents per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $497.000 million which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $485.979 million.

Ashland affirmed its FY2026 sales guidance of $1.835 billion-$1.870 billion, versus market estimates of $1.850 billion.

“Ashland’s third-quarter results reflected broad-based demand and strong commercial execution across the portfolio,” said Guillermo Novo, chair and chief executive officer, Ashland.

Ashland shares gained 5.6% to trade at $71.86 on Wednesday.

These analysts made changes to their price targets on Ashland following earnings announcement.

  • BMO Capital analyst John McNulty maintained the stock with an Outperform rating and raised the price target from $68 to $75.
  • Mizuho analyst John Roberts maintained the stock with an Outperform rating and raised the price target from $75 to $77.
