U.S. stocks traded mixed midway through trading, with the Nasdaq Composite falling more than 100 points on Monday.
The Dow traded up 0.19% to 52,046.85 while the NASDAQ declined 0.48% to 24,855.82. The S&P 500 also fell, dropping, 0.23% to 7,394.76.

Consumer staples shares jumped by 2% on Monday.
In trading on Monday, information technology stocks fell by 1.9%.
Top Headline
U.S. durable goods orders rose 0.3% month-over-month to $334.77 billion in June, compared to a revised 4% gain in May, but down from market estimates of a 1.6% surge.
Equities Trading UP
- Forte Biosciences Inc (NASDAQ:FBRX) shares shot up 40% to $76.44 after argenx SE – ADR (NASDAQ:ARGX) announced plans to acquire the company for $77 per share in cash, valuing the deal at $2.2 billion.
- Shares of Eikon Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:EIKN) got a boost, surging 10% to $9.75. The company announced that the first patient has been dosed in TeLuRide-008, a Phase 2/3 study of EIK1001 with pembrolizumab and chemotherapy in stage 4 Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.
- Entera Bio Ltd (NASDAQ:ENTX) shares were also up, gaining 91% to $3.91 after the company reported announced pricing of oversubscribed $275 million private placement.
Equities Trading DOWN
- C3is Inc (NASDAQ:CISS) shares dropped 77% to $0.12 after the company priced a $6 million underwritten public offering.
- Shares of Capricor Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:CAPR) were down 67% to $6.58 after the FDA said the data for the company’s Duchenne Cell Therapy does not provide substantial evidence of effectiveness.
- AiRWA Inc (NASDAQ:YYAI) was down, falling 65% to $3.91 after the company announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Hongkong Best Life Trade Co.
Commodities
In commodity news, oil traded down 6.7% to $83.35 while gold traded up 0.1% at $4,073.90.
Silver traded down 0.3% to $58.730 on Monday, while copper rose 0.2% to $6.371.
Euro zone
European shares were higher today. The eurozone’s STOXX 600 rose 0.5%, while Spain’s IBEX 35 Index gained 1.3% London’s FTSE 100 rose 0.8%, Germany’s DAX gained 1.4%, while France’s CAC 40 gained 0.8%.
Asia Pacific Markets
Asian markets closed higher on Monday, with Japan’s Nikkei 225 gaining 0.50%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index surging 0.98%, China’s Shanghai Composite surging 1.15% and India’s BSE Sensex jumping 1.02%.
