Quantinuum Inc (NASDAQ:QNT) shares are soaring Tuesday as quantum‑related tokens rally following two major White House executive orders.

Quantum Executive Orders Ignite Sector Momentum

Quantinuum is climbing as traders rotate into quantum‑linked assets after the administration issued sweeping executive orders aimed at accelerating quantum computing, strengthening quantum supply chains and securing national systems against future quantum‑enabled cyber threats.

One of the orders established a national push to build large‑scale quantum computers for scientific and commercial use. It directed agencies to expand quantum sensing and networking, develop new quantum assessment centers and coordinate a whole‑of‑government strategy to maintain U.S. leadership in quantum information science.

The order also called for new plans to support domestic quantum manufacturing, strengthen supply chains and expand the national quantum workforce. The document states that America stands at the cusp of a quantum revolution and must take a cohesive approach to accelerate deployment and commercialization of quantum technologies.

Post‑Quantum Cryptography Order Adds Fuel

The next order focused on post‑quantum cryptography (PQC). It warned that adversaries could collect U.S. data today and decrypt it later once large‑scale quantum computers are operational. It set strict timelines for federal agencies to migrate high-value systems to NIST‑approved quantum‑resistant standards. It also required agencies to identify post‑quantum cryptography coordinators, review their inventories of high-impact systems and transition key establishment and digital signatures to quantum‑safe algorithms by 2030 and 2031.

The order states that the United States must strengthen cryptographic protections for sensitive data, critical infrastructure and the digital economy.
