U.S. stocks traded higher midway through trading, with the Dow Jones gaining more than 300 points on Tuesday.
The Dow traded up 0.73% to 48,089.38 while the NASDAQ rose 0.74% to 22,863.07. The S&P 500 also rose, gaining, 0.55% to 6,833.03.

Top Headline
Kohls Corp (NYSE:KSS) shares moved higher on Tuesday after the company reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter financial results and issued FY2026 sales guidance above estimates.
Kohl’s reported quarterly earnings of $1.07 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of 85 cents per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $5.173 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $5.032 billion.
Equities Trading UP
- Stagwell Inc. (NASDAQ:STGW) shares shot up 14% to $5.97 following fourth-quarter results.
- Shares of Zevra Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:ZVRA) got a boost, surging 21% to $11.04 after the company reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter financial results. Also, the company announced a new genetic testing program with GeneDx for patients with suspected Niemann-Pick disease type C.
- Nio Inc – ADR (NYSE:NIO) shares were also up, gaining 11% to $5.48 as the company reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter financial results, and stronger-than-expected first-quarter revenue outlook.

- BioNTech SE (NASDAQ:BNTX) shares dropped 19% to $82.76 after the company reported fourth-quarter financial results and issued FY26 sales guidance below estimates.
- Shares of Mesa Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ:MLAB) were down 13% to $76.34 after the company announced CEO transition and appointment of Siddhartha Kadia as president and CEO.
- Centene Corporation (NYSE:CNC) was down, falling 11% to $38.47 after the company reaffirmed its 2026 GAAP EPS and 2026 adjusted EPS guidance.

In commodity news, oil traded down 13.1% to $82.36 while gold traded up 2.6% at $5,237.30.
Silver traded up 6.4% to $89.90 on Tuesday, while copper rose 1.8% to $5.9550.
Euro zone
European shares were higher today. The eurozone’s STOXX 600 gained 1.88%, while Spain’s IBEX 35 Index jumped 3.05%. London’s FTSE 100 rose 1.59%, Germany’s DAX gained 2.39% and France’s CAC 40 rose 1.79% during the session.
Asia Pacific Markets
Asian markets closed higher on Tuesday, with Japan’s Nikkei 225 gaining 2.88%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index surging 2.17%, China’s Shanghai Composite rising 0.65% and India’s BSE Sensex rising 0.82%.
Economics
- U.S. existing home sales climbed by 1.7% month-over-month to an annualized rate of 4.09 million in February compared to market estimates of 3.89 million.
- U.S. private employers added an average of 15,500 jobs a week during the four weeks ending Feb. 21.
