U.S. stocks were lower, with the Nasdaq Composite falling around 1% on Tuesday.
Shares of Sonoco Products Co (NYSE:SON) rose sharply during Tuesday’s session after the company posted upbeat results for the fourth quarter.
The company reported quarterly earnings of $1.05 per share, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.00 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $1.768 billion, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.762 billion. Sonoco Products said it sees FY2026 adjusted earnings of $5.80 to $6.20 per share, versus market estimates of $5.96 per share.
Sonoco shares jumped 8.9% to $56.25 on Tuesday.

- Itron Inc (NASDAQ:ITRI) gained 15.5% to $103.22 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly financial results.
- Knife River Corp (NYSE:KNF) gained 15.1% to $93.00 following upbeat quarterly earnings.
- Lufax Holding Ltd – ADR (NYSE:LU) rose 14.5% to $3.08. Lufax announced changes of directors and senior management.
- Evolution Metals & Technologies Corp (NASDAQ:EMAT) surged 14.2% to $11.31.
- Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd (NASDAQ:ENLT) gained 11% to $72.02 after the company reported a year-over-year increase in fourth-quarter financial results.
- Kyndryl Holdings Inc (NYSE:KD) rose 10.7% to $13.56. Kyndryl announced filing of Form 10-Q for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2025.
- Global Business Travel Group Inc (NYSE:GBTG) gained 10.5% to $5.57 after the company announced an additional $300 million buyback plan.
- Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd (NYSE:NCLH) rose 7.5% to $23.12 after reports suggest that Elliot Investment Management built a stake of more than 10% in the company.
- Waystar Holding Corp (NASDAQ:WAY) rose 6.5% to $23.86 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly sales results.
