CGI Inc. (NYSE:GIB) announced a global go-to-market alliance with OpenAI on Tuesday to accelerate enterprise AI adoption.

The partnership targets secure, responsible deployments that deliver measurable business results across regulated industries.

The agreement builds on CGI’s multi-year pilot work in the United Kingdom and now scales globally.

“We are excited to globalize OpenAI as one of our key AI partners,” said Dave Henderson, CTO, CGI.

From Pilots To Production

CGI said enterprise clients increasingly move beyond experimentation toward production-grade AI systems.

The alliance aims to support that transition with tested deployment patterns and governance frameworks.

CGI will advise clients on architecture, security, and operational integration. The company said it will focus on outcomes rather than proofs of concept.

Henderson said the timing aligns with rising enterprise demand. He emphasized value creation while reducing operational, data, and governance risks.

CGI and OpenAI will jointly refine enterprise deployment models using feedback from large-scale implementations. The companies will share insights on security practices and adoption strategies.

Workforce Enablement

CGI plans to embed OpenAI training materials into its internal AI literacy programs. The effort will span daily productivity use cases and advanced prompt engineering roles.

CGI will expand ChatGPT Enterprise access to tens of thousands of consultants globally. The move supports its “Client Zero” model, where CGI tests solutions internally before client rollout.

The initiative includes early adoption of agentic AI systems that execute tasks and coordinate workflows. CGI said those tools support faster decision-making across enterprise operations.

CGI applies ChatGPT Enterprise within its Responsible Use of AI Framework. A global AI Executive Steering Committee oversees compliance, privacy, and ethical standards.

CGI maintains partnerships with more than 150 technology companies worldwide. The firm said independence allows consultants to tailor solutions to client sovereignty and regulatory needs.

GIB Price Action: CGI shares were down 0.63% at $88.63 at the time of publication on Tuesday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
