Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse opened the company’s 10th annual Swell conference Tuesday with four major announcements, including a new partnership with Robinhood (NASDAQ:HOOD).

What Garlinghouse Announced on Day One

Garlinghouse posted on X Wednesday that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent joined him to open the conference, crediting Bessent’s leadership for helping responsible crypto thrive in the United States.

He then revealed Ripple is bringing its infrastructure to Robinhood, covering RLUSD (CRYPTO: RLUSD) settlement on the XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) Ledger, prime brokerage and treasury operations.

Ripple is also expanding its relationship with BNY across custody and tokenized trade finance using RLUSD, XRP and the XRP Ledger.

On the corporate side, Ripple Treasury introduced 24/7 Returns, a product letting companies put idle cash to work outside normal banking hours using stablecoins.

The biggest regulatory win came last: the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency granted final approval for Ripple National Trust Bank. Garlinghouse noted all of this landed on day zero of the conference, with the main Swell event still to come.

Why Whales Keep Buying Despite XRP’s Weak Price Action

Santiment Intelligence posted on X Tuesday that wallets holding at least 10 million XRP now control 46.87 billion tokens, roughly 68.5% of total supply and the highest share this group has held since November 2022.

The firm called the accumulation notable since it’s happening while XRP struggles near $1.29, arguing large holders buying through weakness signals strong underlying conviction.

Santiment also flagged $1.30 as the immediate pivot level to watch, with $1.50 serving as the stronger confirmation point for a larger recovery.

Key levels for XRP:

  • $1.36 to $1.37: Resistance zone
  • $1.30: Support level flagged by Santiment’s whale data
