Cross River Bank is integrating Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin directly into its core banking system, while XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) flashes technical buy signals after bouncing off its lows.
What the Cross River Partnership Covers
Cross River announced Thursday that it’s embedding RLUSD, Ripple’s dollar-backed stablecoin, into its Core Operating System, with support for transactions on the XRP Ledger.
The move lets fintechs access RLUSD payments through a single API connection, covering real-time settlement and cross-border transactions without needing to build their own blockchain infrastructure.
RLUSD (CRYPOTO: RLUSD) settles on the XRP Ledger in 3 to 5 seconds at a fraction of a cent, and the network has processed more than $1.3 trillion in total value to date.
Cross River Head of Fintech Banking Adam Goller said the integration lets fintechs move between U.S. dollars and RLUSD, settle cross-border payments 24/7, and access ACH, wires and real-time payments all through one platform.
RippleX SVP Markus Infanger said stablecoins will reshape payments by becoming part of banks’ existing infrastructure rather than operating as a separate system.
Here’s where RLUSD stands today:
- Market cap: more than $2.5 billion
- Issued on XRP Ledger: over $1 billion
- Availability: currently limited to select US states
Why XRP Is Flashing Buy Signals Despite Staying Bearish
XRP recovered to $1.33 after dipping to $1.28, leaving a long lower wick that suggests buyers stepped in below $1.30.
The token still trades below the rising support line of its symmetrical triangle pattern, and recent lower highs and lower lows keep the near-term trend bearish.
Widely-followed crypto analyst Ali Martinez posted on X that XRP has flashed several TD Sequential buy signals near current levels, including a Sequential 13, a TD 9, and an Aggressive 13.
Together, he said, those signals suggest a local bottom may be forming. If buyers step in, Charts is watching for a rebound toward $1.40, followed by resistance near $1.50.
Where XRP Stands Technically
The rebound has yet to reverse XRP’s broader breakdown, with initial resistance sitting around $1.35 to $1.38.
A sustained move above $1.40 to $1.43 would bring the token back toward its broken trendline and ease selling pressure.
Key levels for XRP:
- $1.35 to $1.38: initial resistance
- $1.28: immediate support to watch
