Skybride Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci would advise his younger self to care less about what others think and recognize that setbacks are an unavoidable part of life.

‘Take Yourself Less Seriously’

Appearing on a Sept. 23 podcast with Scott Clary, Scaramucci recalled that, at 20, he was “too concerned” about what people thought of him.

He stated that maintaining appearances to get external validation could lead to ego, resulting in a lot more “ego-based decisions.”

“Take yourself less seriously. Care less about what other people think about you. Take more risk and enjoy the ride,” said the 62-year old hedge fund manager.

Scaramucci said he’d want his younger self to understand that there are “bumps on the ride” and they are unavoidable.

The Highs and the Lows

Before launching SkyBridge Capital in 2005, Scaramucci co-founded the investment firm Oscar Capital Management, which was subsequently sold to Neuberger Berman in 2001.

He was fired from Goldman Sachs early in his career because management felt he was performing poorly in his investment banking role. Later, he was fired as White House Communications Director after serving just 10 days, making it the shortest tenure in U.S. history.

Scaramucci has authored several books, including “Solana Rising: Investing in the Fast Lane of Crypto” and “The Little Book of Bitcoin.” His wealth is estimated at $150 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Scaramucci previously revealed that over 70% of his net worth is invested in Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC).
