Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, says his latest high-stakes grocery store challenge has quickly become the biggest 24-hour launch of his YouTube career.

MrBeast’s New Video Breaks YouTube Viewership Record

On X, MrBeast said his roughly 60-minute video, “Eat Everything In A Grocery Store, Win $1,000,000,” became his most-viewed video ever in its first 24 hours.

“New video is our most viewed video ever in 24 hours,” Donaldson wrote on X, adding that more than 10,000 comments were calling it the channel’s “BEST video ever.”

The creator also highlighted the video’s unusually high watch time, saying the average viewer has watched for more than 20 minutes. Collectively, viewers had spent more than 1 billion minutes watching the video.

Despite the milestone, Donaldson said he believes his biggest successes are still ahead.

“Even though I’ve been making content for 17 years now I still think my best days are ahead,” he wrote.

At the time of writing, the video had amassed about 90.8 million views and more than 90,000 comments on YouTube.

$1 Million Grocery Store Challenge Continues Viral Series

The video follows MrBeast’s April challenge, “Last to Leave Grocery Store, Wins $250,000,” which has surpassed 203 million views.

In that video, MrBeast bought a grocery store and challenged participants to stay inside until only one person remained. After 67 days, four contestants remained.

MrBeast then offered them a new deal: He would completely restock the store and if the four contestants ate all the food, they could split a $1 million prize.

The contestants accepted, but the video ended before viewers learned the outcome, creating a months-long cliffhanger.

The new video picks up where the previous challenge ended.
