Crypto analyst Doctor Profit says the Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) October dip many traders are waiting for isn’t coming, arguing that when the market collectively expects the same four‑year‑cycle outcome, it rarely plays out that way.
Why the Four-Year Cycle Crowd Could Be Wrong
When Bitcoin was trading at highs near $120,000, the same crowd had dismissed the four-year cycle entirely because they wanted prices to keep climbing, according to the crypto influencer.
Now the same traders are using it to justify waiting for a precise bottom in September or October, Doctor Profit wrote in an X.com post, adding that nearly everyone in his network were telling him the same thing over the past two to three weeks.
“The problem is not the four-year cycle itself,” the digital asset strategist wrote. “The problem is the number of people who believe in the exact same outcome. The more people believe it, the less realistic it becomes.”
“They believe the market is going to serve them the exact bottom on a silver platter,” he wrote, adding that the level of consensus is historically a warning sign rather than a reliable setup.
Why $54,000 Matters More Than October
Doctor Profit doesn’t expect Bitcoin to break below $50,000, pointing to heavy liquidity around $54,000 as a floor that cannot be ignored.
The level represents roughly 15% downside from current prices, which he views as manageable compared with the risk faced by those who bought between $70,000 and $90,000 without any framework.
The pseudonymous trader said he had already deployed his first bucket of capital at $64,000 using realized profits from Bitcoin short positions opened near $120,000.
The second bucket is being deployed gradually, with 5% added on every day Bitcoin trades between $54,000 and $64,000, targeting a blended average entry near $60,000. For every four dollars into Bitcoin, he allocates one dollar to Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH), according to the post.
Tokenization and the Clarity Act Could Front-Run the Crowd in October
Doctor Profit’s contrarian case centers on two catalysts converging in October.
DTCC’s full tokenization platform launches that month, enabling 24-hour stock trading on blockchain infrastructure with BlackRock Inc. (NYSE:BLK) and major institutions already involved.
He argued it makes no sense for BlackRock to push tokenization aggressively while crypto simultaneously crashes.
The Clarity Act potentially passing in August adds another layer, with regulatory clarity accelerating institutional entry before retail buyers get their entry point.
“The retails will be sitting and waiting for their four-year cycle,” he wrote. “Let them wait, because the market will front-run that.”
Meanwhile, his technical confirmation is Bitcoin reclaiming the weekly green line above current levels, with $80,000 as the next major target once that prints.
