VinFast Auto Ltd. (NASDAQ:VFS) shares were lower in Tuesday’s premarket session.

The electric vehicle maker recently highlighted product milestones and expanding incentives.

EV Incentives And Product Momentum

Earlier this month, VinFast said its VF 8 model qualifies for Canada’s revived Electric Vehicle Affordability Program, making buyers eligible for up to 5,000 Canadian dollars in federal incentives. Combined with provincial credits, total incentives could reach as high as 18,000 Canadian dollars.

The update comes alongside strong domestic demand. The company delivered 16,172 EVs in Vietnam in January, up 55% year over year.

VinFast has also been positioning its VF 9 as a family-focused, three-row electric SUV, targeting buyers seeking larger vehicles without shifting to gasoline-powered options. The model features a 124-inch wheelbase and offers towing capacity of up to 3,968 lbs with trailer brakes.

Earnings Miss Despite Revenue Beat

In its latest quarterly report, VinFast posted a fourth-quarter loss of 60 cents per share, wider than analyst expectations for a 29-cent loss. However, revenue came in at $1.57 billion, well above consensus estimates of $823.4 million.

Vehicle deliveries remained a bright spot. Fourth-quarter EV deliveries rose 63% year over year to 86,557 units, while e-scooter and e-bike deliveries surged 452% to 171,962.

For full-year 2025, VinFast delivered 196,919 EVs globally, more than doubling the prior year and exceeding its guidance to at least double 2024 deliveries of 97,399.

Analyst View And Momentum Signals

The stock carries a consensus Buy rating with an average price target of $7.58. Chardan Capital reiterated its Buy rating in March, maintaining a $5.50 price target.

Momentum indicators remain strong. VinFast holds a Benzinga Edge Momentum Score of 86.49, suggesting the stock has been outperforming the broader market and attracting investor interest.

VFS Price Action: VinFast Auto shares were down 1.17% at $4.2993 during premarket trading on Tuesday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
