Virtuix Inc. (NASDAQ:VTIX), a virtual reality developer, announced Monday that it has entered into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the U.S. Navy’s Naval Postgraduate School to evaluate its Omni One system for military training and simulation.

Research Collaboration With Navy

Under the agreement, Virtuix will provide its Omni One platform to the school’s Modeling, Virtual Environments, and Simulation (MOVES) Institute. Researchers will assess its effectiveness for training using compact, omnidirectional movement technology.

This partnership is Virtuix’s first formal research collaboration with the Navy and expands its presence in the defense sector.

The agreement further strengthens Virtuix’s growing network of military and research partnerships.

Broader Defense Adoption And Technology Use

The company has already deployed its systems across several military branches, including the U.S. Army, Air Force, and Marine Corps, with installations at West Point, the Air Force Academy, and Yokota Air Base.

The agreement also supports the development of Virtuix’s Virtual Terrain Walk (VTW) system, which enables users to physically navigate immersive, AI-generated 3D environments.

The platform allows personnel to rehearse missions and explore restricted or complex settings, including ships and submarines, before deployment.

“Following growing interest from the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Marine Corps, we are excited to see the U.S. Navy begin evaluating our Omni technology for training and simulation applications,” said Jan Goetgeluk, Founder and CEO of Virtuix.

“We believe the agreement highlights the broader potential and adoption of our technology in defense. The insights from this collaboration will advance the development of Virtual Terrain Walk as we continue expanding our presence in the defense market.”
