On Thursday, Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, warned that the Strait of Hormuz will stay closed as leverage against the U.S., regional attacks will continue, and U.S. military bases in the Middle East could be targeted. Khamenei’s statement was read on state TV, with him not appearing on camera.
Meanwhile, in his first press conference since the February 28 attacks on Iran, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the Islamic Republic is weakened, no longer a dominant threat, and that while the regime’s fall would ideally come from within, its power has already diminished, the Times of Israel reported.
US Refueling Plane Down In Iraq
