U.S. stocks were higher, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 200 points on Tuesday.
Shares of NIO Inc. (NYSE:NIO) rose sharply during Tuesday’s session as the company reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter financial results, and stronger-than-expected first-quarter revenue outlook.
The company reported quarterly revenue of 34.65 billion yuan ($4.95 billion), up 75.9% year over year and 59.0% sequentially. The figure exceeded the analyst consensus estimate of $4.61 billion. Excluding one-time items, adjusted earnings came in at 0.29 yuan (4 cents) per ADS. That result improved significantly from a loss of 3.17 yuan per ADS a year earlier and topped expectations for a 5-cent loss.
NIO shares jumped 10.6% to $5.47 on Tuesday.

- Akso Health Group (NASDAQ:AHG) shares rose 30% to $1.93.
- Agencia Comercial Spirits Ltd (NASDAQ:AGCC) jumped 21.5% to $22.00.
- AXT, Inc. (NASDAQ:AXTI) gained 18% to $45.50.
- Capricor Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CAPR) rose 17.5% to $36.00. Capricor Therapeutics announced establishment of new PDUFA date for Deramiocel BLA.
- Figure Technology Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ:FIGR) gained 12.8% to $36.82.
- National Research Corporation (NASDAQ:NRC) gained 12.7% to $16.88. National Research announced a $60M buyback plan through March 31, 2028.
- Dyne Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:DYN) rose 12.7% to $19.93. Dyne Therapeutics recently announced additional data from the ongoing Phase 1/2 DELIVER clinical trial of zeleciment rostudirsen in individuals with Duchenne muscular dystrophy amenable to exon 51 skipping.
- SES AI Corporation (NYSE:SES) rose 12.5% to $1.3161.
- VNET Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:VNET) gained 12.5% to $11.01. VNET will announce unaudited fourth quarter and full year 2025 financial results on March 16.
- Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (NASDAQ:AAOI) rose 11.8% to $123.75. Rosenblatt analyst Mike Genovese maintained Applied Optoelectronics with a Buy and raised the price target from $125 to $140.
- Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (NASDAQ:VRTX) gained 9.1% to $502.70 after the company reported data from the ongoing Phase 3 RAINIER trial of povetacicept, an engineered fusion protein and dual inhibitor of the BAFF and APRIL cytokines, in immunoglobulin A nephropathy. Also, HC Wainwright & Co. raised its price target on the stock from $591 to $641 and Jefferies initiated coverage with a Buy rating.
- Hycroft Mining Holding Corporation (NASDAQ:HYMC) gained 8.1% to $43.88.
- Ciena Corporation (NYSE:CIEN) rose 8.1% to $344.33 after the company announced new innovations designed to meet surging AI-driven bandwidth demands.
- Rivian Automotive, Inc. (NASDAQ:RIVN) gained 7.7% to $17.10 after TD Cowen upgraded the stock from Hold to Buy and raised its price target from $17 to $20.
- Lumentum Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:LITE) rose 7.7% to $690.08. Lumentum announced that it has been selected to join the S&P 500 index.
