Trump Media & Technology Group Corp (NASDAQ:DJT) shares are trading lower Tuesday afternoon as investors weighed Middle East headlines against the company’s recent earnings and restructuring plans. Here’s what investors need to know.
- Trump Media & Technology shares are retreating from recent levels. What’s weighing on DJT shares?
Middle East Conflict Escalates Tuesday
Geopolitical risk dominated sentiment Tuesday after the U.S. and Israel continued strikes on Iran-linked targets, with about 800 people reported killed in Iran since the weekend and Hezbollah firing missiles into northern Israel.
U.S. embassies in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait suspended consular services amid warnings of drone attacks, while the United Arab Emirates said it intercepted hundreds of drones and ballistic missiles launched from Iran, fueling jitters over energy supplies.
Truth Social Spin-Off Talks Add Strategic Uncertainty
The pullback in DJT comes after Trump Media reported 2025 results last Friday, posting about $3.7 million in revenue but a steep $712 million net loss, largely tied to unrealized losses on digital-asset holdings. Fourth-quarter results showed a diluted loss of $2.37 per share on roughly $1 million in sales, little changed from a year earlier.
Still, the company ended the year with about $2.5 billion in financial assets and positive operating cash flow, helped by $44 million in proceeds from a Bitcoin options strategy.
Separately, Trump Media confirmed it is in talks to spin off its Truth Social platform into a new publicly traded company that would later merge with SPAC Texas Ventures Acquisition III, while the legacy entity pursues a planned $6 billion merger with fusion power firm TAE Technologies.
Rebounds Fade As Downtrend Persists

The stock touched a 52-week low of $9.91 in February and has recently been trading just above $10, with each rebound failing to recover prior levels.
