AMD Beats Analyst Estimates In Q4
AMD reported fourth-quarter revenue of $10.27 billion, beating analyst estimates of $9.67 billion. The chipmaker reported adjusted earnings of $1.53 per share for the fourth quarter, beating estimates of $1.32 per share, according to Benzinga Pro.
Total revenue in the quarter increased 34% on a year-over-year basis. Here’s a breakdown of revenue by segment.
- Data Center: $5.4 billion, up 39% year-over-year
- Client and Gaming: $3.9 billion, up 37% year-over-year
- Embedded: $950 million, up 3% year-over-year
AMD reported $1.8 billion of fourth-quarter operating income and ended the period with approximately $5.54 billion in cash and cash equivalents.
“2025 was a defining year for AMD, with record revenue and earnings driven by strong execution and broad-based demand for our high-performance and AI platforms,” said Lisa Su, chair and CEO of AMD.
“We are entering 2026 with strong momentum across our business, led by accelerating adoption of our high-performance EPYC and Ryzen CPUs and the rapid scaling of our data center AI franchise.”
What’s On The Horizon For AMD?
AMD expects first-quarter revenue of approximately $9.8 billion, plus or minus $300 million, including approximately $100 million of AMD Instinct MI308 sales to China. Analysts are currently expecting first-quarter revenue of approximately $9.39 billion, per Benzinga Pro.
AMD’s management team will further discuss details from the quarter on an earnings call with investors and analysts at 5 p.m. ET.
AMD Stock Slips After Hours
AMD Price Action: AMD shares were up more than 100% over the past year heading into the print. The chip stock was down 3.56% in after-hours, trading at $233.50 at the time of publication on Tuesday, according to Benzinga Pro.
