Shares of Meta Platforms Inc (NASDAQ:META) rose sharply in pre-market trading after the company reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter financial results and issued first-quarter sales guidance above estimates.

Meta reported fourth-quarter revenue of $59.89 billion, beating analyst estimates of $58.30 billion. The company reported fourth-quarter adjusted earnings of $8.88 per share, beating estimates of $8.16 per share, according to Benzinga Pro.

Meta shares jumped 8.2% to $723.70 in the pre-market trading session.
