Aduro Clean Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:ADUR) on Thursday announced that it has selected Chemelot Industrial Park in Sittard-Geleen, Netherlands, as the site for its first industrial-scale facility, a key step toward moving from pilot work to commercial operations.

What Aduro Plans To Build

The site will host a First-of-a-Kind industrial plant that uses the company’s Hydrochemolytic Technology to chemically recycle waste plastics into higher-value products. The decision followed a late-2025 site search across multiple locations and ultimately favored Chemelot for infrastructure readiness and long-run expansion potential.

Chemelot offers shared utilities, centralized wastewater treatment, and established safety and permitting frameworks—reducing development friction for industrial projects.

The location also sits within a major European chemical cluster, supporting integration with circular plastics supply chains and downstream customers.

Aduro expects the initial phase to run at roughly 10,000 tonnes per year, with room for phased expansion as operations stabilize and performance is optimized.

“Selecting Chemelot marks a pivotal point in the scale-up pathway we outlined last year,” said Ofer Vicus, Chief Executive Officer of Aduro. “From the outset, our objective has been to transition from pilot-scale validation to an industrial facility capable of operating under real-world conditions, producing commercially relevant outputs, and supporting future growth.”
