U.S. stock futures were mixed this morning, with the Dow futures falling around 0.1% on Tuesday.

Shares of Humana Inc (NYSE:HUM) fell sharply in pre-market trading.

Health insurer stocks traded lower following a report indicating the Trump administration will propose essentially unchanged rates for Medicare insurers next year.

The Trump administration reportedly plans to propose “roughly flat” rates for Medicare insurers in 2027, setting up payments to plans to increase by approximately 0.09% next year, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Humana shares dipped 12.2% to $231.39 in pre-market trading.

  • CVS Health Corp (NYSE:CVS) declined 9.7% to $75.73 in pre-market trading. Shares of health insurance companies traded lower following reports suggesting that the Trump administration proposed a 0.09% average payment increase for Medicare Advantage plans in 2027.
  • UnitedHealth Group Inc (NYSE:UNH) dipped 8.8% to $320.53 in pre-market trading. Health insurer stocks declined following a report indicating the Trump administration will propose essentially unchanged rates for Medicare insurers next year.
  • Sanmina Corp (NASDAQ:SANM) fell 8% to $168.00 in pre-market trading after the company reported first-quarter financial results and issued second-quarter sales results below estimates.
